[submitted] IsochroneSymplecticIntegrator_QuickExample: an introduction to isochrone splitting for symplectic integrators
IsochroneSymplecticIntegrator_QuickExample is an educational project featuring a Fortran program that demonstrates how isochrone splitting can be applied within hierarchical symplectic integrators. As an illustrative example, the program integrates the trajectory of a test particle in a Plummer potential using a Leapfrog scheme combined with isochrone splitting. The code is publicly available and can be easily adapted to other potentials and integrators.
